| Erik was born in Skärsägen, Tranås. He attended school for seven years and then went to work for his father as a woodworker until he entered the military. In 1963, after he completed his military service, he went to work for the Stiga Corporation in Tranås. Stiga makes ping pong tables and power mowers. In 1964 he married Ann-Marie Carlsson. They have two grown children and currently (2001) reside in Tranås, Sweden. | ||
