Betty Åkesson* 1886 - 1977

  August Andersson 1878 -

  Erna Andersson**

Erna, who died some years ago, lived in Lund with her husband Åke. He was Jan-Eric's boss in a company where he worked during the holidays as a teenager. Erna and Åke have at least one daughter living in Stockholm.

  Erik Andersson

Erik worked at the same company as Erna's husband and Jan-Erik remembers introducing himself to him. Erik is currently (2001) living in Lund.

  Einar Andersson

Einar was born deaf and married someone who also was deaf. They have at least one child.

*Mom and Dad (Mary and Hugo Wiberg) went to Sweden in 1968. Mom writes in her journal:

June 4, 1968: Anders girl friend, Asa, came with her small car to take us to visit Aunt Betty - Grandpa Wiberg's youngest sister. She is 82 years old. Her husband (August) is 90 - and is at present in Hospital Lavaret. We found him to be delightful. Betty resembles Grandpa - a very pronounced resemblance! They have lived in a small house for more than 40 years. She keeps it immaculate and, as as all others relations that we have met, has many growing flowering plants in her home. She also has a garden which she tends herself. Aunt Betty proudly showed us many photos of Sven's family and also pictures of Japan she had received from him years before. It was a great event to meet her, but rather sad to say farewell. Aside from being slightly deaf, she seems very well!

*Jan-Erik Åkesson wrote to me on June 7, 2001, and provided me with the notes on Betty and August's children.
